Description

We believe that providing high quality psychological service is a tremendous challenge requiring a solid background, years of supervised experience, and a keen awareness of oneself. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable, yet challenging learning environment. Specific academic courses provide a forum in which students reflect upon and learn from clinical work experience. We feel that good clinicians must be individuals with well-developed qualities of sensitivity, maturity and self-awareness. Our successful model of education provides a welcoming, collaborative environment that fosters personal, as well as professional growth.
MSPP trains practitioners who are sensitive to underserved populations, and is committed to maintaining an environment which acknowledges and respects cultural and individual differences. This is accomplished through curriculum and field training opportunities which impart knowledge and skills relevant to human diversity.
