marketumbrella.org is the New Orleans, LA based non profit that created and runs the Crescent City Farmers Markets, the White Boot Brigades, Festivus the holiday market for the rest of us, 4M workshops and has designed tools for open air markets to grow efficiently and sustainably.
Since the levee break disaster in August 2005, marketumbrella.org has been reopening markets, finding resources for direct marketing entrepreneurs and spreading the gospel of local economies and food systems.
