Description
We are a nonprofit 501c3 orginization helping to reach at-risk youth in our community through five summer camps. We are affiliated with Lighthouse Ministries in Irvine. Our campers come from challenging backgrounds, ranging from abuse and neglect to high-risk neighborhoods. Many live in foster care, others live on the edge of poverty in motels or the inner-city.
No single experience can erase the scars left by a childhood of poverty or abuse. But summer camp can bring kids healing and hope in a unique, life-changing way. Camps are memorable, fun and challenging. For a week, or even a weekend, kids from elementary to highschool age have a safe place where they feel loved and cherished by caring volunteers. The memories they take with them are the seeds of hope that will encourage them to seek Christ when life is hard. And it is in Christ that true healing can be found.
