Description
Marian House is a transitional Housing program for women, located in Baltimore, MD. It was founded in 1982 by the Sisters of Mercy and the School Sisters of Notre Dame in response to a community need. Today it operates as an independent non-profit organization offering effective long-term support to homeless women who are referred by drug treatment centers, correctional agencies, psychiatric facilities, emergency shelters, and domestic violence programs. Marian House serves clients without regard to racial, ethnic or religious background. Women look to the program for the essentials - a safe home, meals and transportation.
