Manatee Glens Corporation, a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, is the area’s oldest and largest provider of mental health and addiction treatment services. We began in 1955, with three staff. Since then, we have experienced tremendous growth. In 1961 we served 400 clients; today we have that many employees, who serve about 10,000 consumers annually. Manatee Glens operates about 100 inpatient beds, including detox, hospital, and a large outpatient program. Specialty services include; Child Welfare Services, 24-hour Rape Crisis Services, and an Employee Assistance Program. Manatee Glens is licensed by the State of Florida and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital Organizations.
