Description
The Maine Humanities Council brings reading and discussion programs to audiences across Maine, including child care providers and the children they serve, prison inmates, adults just learning to read, rural communities, and the general public. MHC programs are designed to promote strong, thoughtful conversations among people from all backgrounds. Programs use scholars as facilitators who are trained to work with each specific audience and whose respect for their constituents is as much of a program halmark as the quality literature used.
