Description
Maine Greyhound Placement Service, located in Augusta, Maine, is dedicated to finding loving, responsible homes for retired racing greyhounds. It has been incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization since 1997. Before adoption, every dog has been spayed/neutered, micro chipped, vaccinations up-to-date, and received dental work. We work to insure that all adopters have a comprehensive knowledge of the greyhounds’ acclimation process and characteristics. Our volunteer representatives are available to assist adopters with issues/questions and maximize the general public’s knowledge of greyhounds and their adoption. We always accept greyhounds that are injured, sick or returned for whatever reason. We are the only greyhound rescue service left in Maine and work with other greyhound rescues on the east coast
