Description
Our mission at Mid America Horse Rescue(MAHR) is to rescue and rehabilitate equine that are abandoned, abused and/or neglected and to facilitate the adoption of these horses. Our goal is to become the premier equine educational facility to the public by featuring well known clinicians and veterinarians to lecture and demonstrate proper care regarding the need to help these horses. We also offer our facility to other non-profits to host educational/riding workshops for mentally and physically handicapped individuals. We believe in second chances for all our 2 and 4 legged family members.
MAHR's mantra is that no horse should be denied a second career or a dignified retirement. Established in August, 2008 we are proud to announce we've assisted 23 (as of October 2008) former racehorses with their rehabilitation and know that together with your help we can make a difference for these unfortunate horses.
