Description
Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, a founding member of the Jefferson Health System, is nationally recognized for its outstanding programs in physical and cognitive rehabilitation, with comprehensive services for spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, amputation, and orthopedic injuries.
Independence is achieved through a team approach at Magee. Each patient has access to a physiatrist (a doctor specializing in rehabilitation medicine), nurse, occupational therapist, physical therapist, speech/language pathologist, psychologist, social worker/case manager and recreational therapist working with him or her. Magee's unique approach to rehabilitation involves patients and their families in the goal-setting process.
Accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Magee was the first facility in the nation to be CARF-accredited in brain injury rehabilitation.
