Description
Lyons Community School is a small public 6-12 school that will open in September 2007 in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. Our mission is to provide a broad, stimulating experience in the liberal arts that prepares students for college, healthy adulthood, and life-long learning. Created with cultural and arts partners Brooklyn Historical Society and Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, the Lyons Community School will use the resources of our partners and of the borough of Brooklyn to create a curriculum that engages students’ minds, bodies and spirits, that is academically rigorous and is personally relevant to our students, families, and staff.
