Loveland Berthoud IHN is a network of 11 host and 3 support churches that provide shelter for up to 14 people (4-5 families). IHN is a shelter/self sufficincy program to give a "hand up" not "hand out" to families that are homeless. The families have to be prepared to work hard, meet goals, better their education and find employment that will sustain them into the future. The program also provides a safe and clean place for the families to be while they are getting out of the devestation that homelessness brings. IHN uses all other local agencies in the area therefore providing a cost effective way to deal with homelessness. The families also are able to continue case management with IHN for approximately two years after moving into a home of their own to ensure stability and growth in life skills.
