Description

The Louisiana Cancer Foundation was founded in 1999 for the purpose of increasing public awareness, prevention, and early detection of cancer in Northeast Louisiana. LCF has addressed the challenges of: 1) financial assistance & emotional support for cancer patients and their families, 2) educating the public on ways to prevent cancer, 3) educating health professionals on oncology issues, and 4) screening for early detection of cancer.

Programs/services include cancer support groups, educational programs, direct financial patient assistance and the only free public cancer screenings in the 12-parish region of Northeast Louisiana.
