Description
Long Way Home's mission as a 501(c)(3) is to break the cycle of poverty among youth in developing communities by creating educational opportunities, cultivating civic interaction, and encouraging healthy lifestyles. After building a community park in San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala, Long Way Home is working on the alternative construction of an elementary and vocational school. The school is being built primarily out of reused materials, including trash filled bottles and earth-rammed tires.
