Description

Logan County Youth & Family, Inc. was founded in 1977 as the dream of a group of citizens concerned with the future of youth in the community. The primary agency function at that time was to provide shelter services and counseling for youth. In November of 2008, the agency was remaned Logan Community Serivces, Inc. to better reflect the array of services provided by the agency. Currently, Logan Community Services provides outpatient counseling for all age groups, drug and alcohol treatment, parenting and relationship education, outreach and education programs for county schools, Systems of Care services for highly at-rish families, and the early childhood initiative Smart Start for Logan and Kingfisher Counties. The agency is the home to the Maudie Hirschi Children's shelter provide care for 150 children during the FY'09 year.
