The Living Planet Aquarium is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that inspires people to explore, discover and learn about Earth's diverse ecosystems.
The Living Planet Aquarium offers many education programs within the community. The two educational outreach programs, The Utah Waters Van, and the Rain Forest Van, visit Utah elementary school students throughout the school year. These programs educate students and teachers alike by bringing free, core-curriculum designed, hands-on learning to over 51,000 students around the state, including every 4th grader statewide.
In addition, visitors to The Living Planet Aquarium will encounter some of Utah's threatened and endangered species, saltwater species from all around the world, and freshwater species found in the South American Rain forest.
