• foster the development of diverse and distinctive voices
• provide a supportive and sustainable artistic home for professional artists
• strengthen and expand the continuing collaboration between artists and the public
• contribute to the growth of theater as a living and relevant art form
LIA serves a culturally diverse, multi-generational audience from across the country. In four seasons, LIA has worked with almost 500 artists to produce 19 plays and has been an incubator for 50+ new works. Each season LIA gives away 400-600 free tickets well as discounted tickets to under-served populations like low income, elder communities, military, student and cultural groups.
