Description
Since 1944, The Little Theatre of Walla Walla has been serving the citizens of Walla Walla, Washington, USA with "good plays well."
From the original charter of The Little Theatre:
"Our purpose ... a single one: to produce good plays well. Our members should be admitted on ... willingness to work for that end...
This is to be an organization for those to whom the theatre is fun. ... We are not a Civic, Social or Service Club of any kind. "
The first play of the Walla Walla Little Theatre was Yes, My Darling Daughter, by Mark Reed The first performances were given in July, 1944, at the Air Base and at McCaw General Hospital, for the personnel.
Since 1944 The Little Theatre had produced good plays well at the rate of four to six a year through to the present day. Our income is provided through ticket sales and private donations. We do not rely on any government funding.
