Literacy Council of Frederick County

about

The Literacy Council of Frederick County Md is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-sectarian, educational organization dedicated to helping non-literate and semi-literate adult residents in the county improve their language skills through one-on-one tutoring. We are a member of ProLiteracy Worldwide (formerly Laubach Literacy Action), and we use Laubach methods with our students. Basic Literacy is offered to the native-born, and English as a Second Language (ESL) is offered to the foreign-born. We are 100% volunteer.
