Description
The Literacy Council is a growing, dynamic family of students, educators, volunteers and North Central Washington businesses who want to increase the the ability of all adults to live, work, play and contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful region.
We are a volunteer-based, non-profit organization whose purpose is to actively promote basic literacy and English as a Second Language (ESL) awareness in Washington State's Chelan and Douglas Counties. We recruit and train volunteer tutors to teach adults to read, write, and speak English.
