Description
The Lion's Den is a Faith Focused Youth Outreach Center designed to be a safe place for teens to encounter Christ. The Center was created in 2002 and reaches out to young people that would never normally walk into a church with the truth of the Gospel. In a 4000 square foot facility teens and now children enjoy computers, ping pong, pool table, recording studio and a weight room. Then at some point each day everything stops and the youth are invited to participate in a Bible study focused on drawing them closer to Christ. There is always food a the Lion's Den and each year there are approximately 3000 vistis by some 3-500 teens . Area churches (30 different ones) provide volunteers and supplies to staff the Lion's Den and we work with local law enforcement agencies (Like the DEA- Drug Enforcement Administration) to serve as a drug reduction Unit- helping to keep youth off the street and off of drugs in the greater Springfield, MA area.
