Description

Helping local Lion's Clubs collect more used sunglasses, prescription eyeglasses, unused AID's drugs, broken or damage gold or silver jewelry, used Cell phones, Inkjet cartridges, used hearing aids and laser cartridges. Prescription eyeglasses can not be reused in the United States. Hearing aids can be redistributed in the US after reconditioning and sorting. Other items collected at local collection centers and participating business provide income to offset the program expenses and shipping.

Eye glasses are sorted, clean, graded and prepared for shipment overseas where local organization often Lion's Clubs arrange for free eye examination and dispense glasses.

Unused AID's, drugs are provided to other community based organizations that arrange for sorting and shipment outside of the United States where they can be used.
