Description
The Lindsey Meyer Memorial Foundation (LMMF)was established to honor the memory of Lindsey Rose Meyer, who lost her battle with Cystic Fibrois on February 8, 2001.
LMMF holds a fundraiser each October: The Lindsey Meyer Annual Pumpkin Run . It includes a 1 and 3-mile Run and a 1-mile Walk. We also have a "Kiddie Fun Run" for children 7 and under. Following this event, there is a free picnic with entertainment and Tricky Tray Raffle.
Monies raised go directly to the New Jersey State Organization of Cystic Fibrosis & the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institure, a leadership training organization for the prevention of drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse in middle & high schools and the college level young person. (www.LMteeninstitute.org)
Educational scholarships are also given out to local and surrounding communities. Each school that sends 50 participants receives a $500 scholarship; 50 - 100, a $1,000 scholarship.
