Limen House has been in operation since 1969, making it one of the oldest and most successful half-way houses in the United States. It has been recognized by the State of Delaware for its excellence, and United Way of Delaware has given it its highest rating.
The word limen is Latin for ‘threshold’. Limen House is an entrance, a threshold to recovery for those who are addicted to alcohol and drugs. It offers a residential, therapeutic treatment program. Limen House actually consists of two half-way houses: one for men, one for women, both located in Wilmington, Delaware.
