Description
Light of Africa (LOA) was founded in January 2003 by N. “Butch” and Janet Berner. A Board of Directors in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA, governs Light of Africa. The affiliated ministry, Light of Africa-Zambia, was founded during the same month and functions under a local Board of Directors in Livingstone, Zambia, and is accountable to the USA Board of Directors. Light of Africa’s primary purpose in ministry is to equip leaders to do the work of the ministry more effectively. Partnering with national leadership where churches have been planted with future plans to eventually turn the work over to nationals is the model followed by Light of Africa.
