As the Washington, DC-area’s premier nationally-accredited community music school, our mission of excellence and accessibility commits us to bring music education of the highest quality and performance opportunities to all, regardless of age, level of ability or financial circumstances. From modest beginnings in 1976, Levine today operates four campuses in the Washington metropolitan area, presents almost 200 performances throughout the region, has awarded over $3.5 million in scholarships and outreach over the past five years, and has nationally-recognized programs for seniors and in early childhood music education. Levine provides music instruction to over 3,500 students (including 1,000 adults) of all ages, ability levels, and financial circumstances. We offer a faculty of 150 world-class artists and instruction in 22 instruments and voice. Levine is one of 12 community music schools in the nation accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
