Description
After years of competition and months discussions, the Bethlehem Blast and Lehigh Valley Comets have merged to become The Lehigh Valley Flames. For years, the Blast and Comets have competed both on and off the ice. While each club has been able to afford its members a quality experience, neither has been able to reach the pinnacle of what a Lehigh Valley Youth Hockey organization could be. By coming together under the banner of the Lehigh Valley Flames, a major step to establish the Lehigh Valley as a premiere destination for Youth Hockey in PA and to provide competitive ice hockey and skills development for boys and girls ages 6-18 years of age. The Flames philosophy is based not just on the "on-ice" aspects of youth hockey, but also providing opportunities to bring families together, and to promote a sense of community and civic values. Annual food drives and basket auction fundraisers benefit the local community. Volunteer-run, the Flames will continue to grow and prosper.
