Description

LAS is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in Oakland, California, dedicated to providing free legal services to people 60 years of age and older in Alameda County. LAS offers legal services in the following areas: Income (Social Security, SSI, CAPI), Immigration, Elder Abuse, Health Care and Guardianship of minor children for kin-caregivers. LAS houses the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) for Alameda County and offers numerous community education presentations to seniors, their families and senior service providers.
