The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County is a private non-profit law firm providing civil legal services since 1958 to low-income individuals, families, seniors, adults and children with disabilities, and domestic violence survivors in San Mateo County. Legal Aid’s mission is to help disadvantaged people improve their lives through equal access to justice. The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County has a history of designing and implementing innovate projects intended specifically to meet the needs of underserved populations. Our office offers individual assistance, community education, and resolution of systemic problems to vulnerable San Mateo County residents. Legal Aid provides legal services and education in Housing and Homelessness; Family Law and Domestic Violence; Government Benefits; Health; and Special Education and Disability Rights.
