Description

The mission of Legacy Counseling Center is to provide affordable and quality mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and special care housing to people in the North Texas area who are impacted by HIV/AIDS. Legacy is celebrating 21 years of providing quality mental health and substance abuse issues among HIV/AIDS individuals. Legacy originated from the passion of psychotherapists and people living and suffering with AIDS within the Dallas community and as a result their efforts have been able to assist thousands of North Texans. In 1996, it became a necessity to develop Legacy Founders Cottage, a seven-bedroom home for critically ill AIDS persons, because of the lack of housing available for people who were found dying alone without care.
