Description
Learning DisAbilities Association of Charlotte is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, made up of parents and professionals who volunteer their time and energy to support individuals with learning disorders and their familes through various activities. LDA of Charlotte:
-Provides phone and email support to individuals with learning disorders and their families.
-Promotes public awareness of learning disablities through meetings, workshops, and participation in community events.
-Publishes a quarterly newsletter.
-Maintains a website with links to additional resources for parents.
-Publishes a directory of services for individuals with LD.
-Refers parents to other area agencies, as needed.
-Offers five four week academic summer programs-grades K-1, 2-5, 6-8, NC End-of-Grade Test Prep.
