Description
The L.E.A.D. Institute (Leadership through Education & Advocacy for the Deaf) is a non-profit corporation of the state of Missouri. The L.E.A.D. Institute exists to provide individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing with comprehensive, unified and continuous support by enhancing socio-emotional development, effective communication and leadership through education. Services include free mental health services for deaf individuals who have been victims of crime and their families, crisis intervention, advocacy, case management, Deaf Culture training for service providers workings with deaf and hard of hearing individuals, a summer camp for deaf and hard of hearing teens, and 24-hour crisis line services for hearing and deaf individuals.
