Description
The Academy seeks both to prepare precollege students for possible careers in music and to guide students who pursue the study of music as part of a lifetime of musical enjoyment. In addition, it enhances the cultural life of the community by presenting students and faculty in performances that are open to the public.
A baby or toddler in the Early Childhood Music program, a third grader taking a violin lesson, a teen working on his part in the school orchestra, a developmentally challenged youngster learning to express herself through music, an adult bonding with new friends in the New Horizons adult band or orchestra, a senior citizen enjoying the Floerntine Opera - Academy students of all ages have a multitude of opportunities to explore music in a supportive environment.
All proceeds generated by GoodSearch and GoodShop go toward scholarship assistance for students with financial need.
