Description
The Larimer County Search & Rescue team’s objective is to provide professional search and rescue personnel, technical equipment, and SAR expertise to the county sheriff. Our mission is never to have to charge for our search and rescue services. Residents and visitors of Larimer County can feel safe knowing we are qualified and prepared for any problems they might have. Depending on local circumstances and our resource status we can be dispatched just about anywhere in the world that our services are needed. We are required to be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, we provide educational programs in the community and technical assistance at local events. The intent of our involvement is always to promote safety and health in the outdoors and to give everyone the tools they need to have a safe and healthy outdoor experience so they will not need to call us.
