Description
Founded in 1911, the mission of the Laredo Little Theatre is to preserve, develop and promote the arts and culture in Laredo and our surrounding communities. The scope of the theatre’s programming varies in each of the following: theatre arts, dance and music. While incorporating aspects of acting technique (including voice and movement), the focus is on individual creative expression and performance in a safe, collaborative environment. Theatre is used as a tool for enhancing self-esteem, developing language and communication skills, strengthening cultural identity, increasing academic and vocational skills and promoting literacy in both English and Spanish.
