Description
Lake Wales Care Center is a faith based community service agency whose purpose is to bridge the gap between those with resources and those in need. Specifically, the Lake Wales Care Center utilizes donations and volunteer services from area individuals, churches, businesses and groups in order to provide a wide array of services including, but not limited to: basic needs in the form of financial assistance, medical prescriptions, etc.; a food cooperative buying program, transitional housing for the homeless, Meals on Wheels, Thanksgiving food baskets, Christmas food baskets and gifts for children, a crisis pregnancy program, home repair projects for those that are financially and/or physically unable to afford repairs, after school tutoring and personal development for “at risk” youth, and after school activities for children and teenagers.
