Description
The Lake Geneva Food Pantry was established in 1983 and was the first local community-wide food bank in the area. It was founded by Lynette Gramse and her husband when they discovered the local need. Since then many local pantries have started in Walworth County, including the Time is Now to Help in 2009, which also provides other assistance such as shelter, clothing, and transportation. The Lake Geneva Food Pantry has remained one of the only emergency food banks in the area. It is open three days a week for two hours in the morning. The food pantry also allows the family to “shop” at the pantry so they can pick up foods based on their preferences or needs.
