Description
Ladies Into Purchasing Stock ("LIPS") was born in 1992 by a group of women desiring to become more involved in the life of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™ ("HLSR"). Their purpose was right in step with that of HLSR, supporting the youth of Texas in their agricultural and artistic endeavors. LIPS has grown to a membership of 100 ladies and has raised approximately half a million dollars to support the educations of young people in the Great State of Texas.
They continue raising money all year long through crawfish boils, merchandise sales, raffles, etc. LIPS has 501(c)3 status making all contributions tax deductible.
All proceeds are spent/contributed to HLSR™ where LIPS has become one of the premier buying groups having just completed its second year in the Silver Spur Club (2005).
