La Salle University is a Christian Brothers school that is dedicated to not only education, but to better the people in and around the university. Community service has always played a large part of the Christian Brothers tradition in teaching and learning. Part of La Salle University's ministry of service is the service trips. The four trips we have are Project Applacia which goes to Kentucky, Habitat for Humanity which goes to Georgia, Los Ninos which goes to Tijuana, Mexico, and Project Mapendo which goes to Tanzania, Africa. For each of these trips, the students work together all year in order to fundraise the amounts to send the students across the country and world to help those in need.
