La Puerta is a non-profit (501-C3) nationally and state accredited child development center and preschool in Albuquerque, NM, founded in 1971. It serves the needs of approximately 80 families and holds several fundraisers per year to fund scholarships, multi-cultural programs, educational field trips, books, art supplies and equipment. La Puerta's curriculum emphasizes multi-cultural awareness and respect for self and others and follows a child development philosophy of learning through play.
