Description
When a woman joins La Esperanza she joins a family of other Latina women who first and foremost share their life experiences, their language and their culture, but they also share the experience of having cancer. In a positive and compassionate enviroment they move beyond their fear and sadness by accepting new challenges, learning new skills and explore undiscovered talents. They become community leaders sharing their experiences of illness, their journey to regain their health and the many adventures that have taught them to value themselves, improve their relationships with their family and to advocate for their community.
