Description

A not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization with the following mission:

* To promote Zen, as well as related mind-body disciplines and fine arts, that develop the human being and serve as paths of self-realization.

* To offer instruction, publications, lectures, retreats, youth training, and other educational activities that make Zen practice accessible to anyone.

* To explore innovative ways to express Zen wisdom in society, encouraging tolerance and exchange among different religious and spiritual traditions, and emphasizing the commonality of human spiritual experience.

* To establish and develop Sotekizan Korin Zen Ji, a Rinzai Zen temple and residential training center, on a parcel of rural land in the Chicago, Illinois region.
