Established in 2007 in New Jersey and run by a small group of volunteers, KNJ is a non-profit organization set to work in the remote areas of Haiti to establish and maintain charitable humanitarian and educational programs and services that benefit needy and impoverished individuals and communities. We are reviving an old Haitian tradition of “communal achievement”, or a kombit, and seek to act as an emerging generation of promise - blending ancient cultural concepts with the bright talents of professionals, experts, students and volunteers of today to help combat the socioeconomic, health and environmental ills plaguing this country.
