Description
Kokua Mau (Continuous Care) is a statewide coalition of more than 250 public agencies, committed citizens, healthcare professionals and organizations dedicated to strengthening partnerships and to the improvement of end-of-life care in Hawai‘i. The coalition was founded in 1999, and its mission is:
To weave a lei of community support so that Hawai‘i's people may die in the place of their choice, free of suffering and pain, and be treated according to their beliefs and values.
Kokua Mau is a private non-profit organization that provides:
• Professional and public education;
• Advocacy and public policy;
• Resources on palliative and hospice care; and
• Leadership for statewide palliative and end-of-life care initiatives.
