Kimoyo LTD

“Kimoyo” means “the language of the heart” in Swahili. It is the mission of Kimoyo LTD - To create an appreciation within the Roanoke Valley for the importance of cultural diversity through education programs - To establish and maintain international partnerships for self-empowerment that address health and economic issues. Two Roanoke Valley churches – St. John’s Episcopal Church and Kingdom Life Ministries, International began to reach out to villages in northern Ghana to help plant trees, build homes and establish a much-needed hospital. The Binaba Shop is a volunteer run African retail store whose proceeds fund the hospital and Kimoyo's educational and microeconomics projects. The Binaba Hospital is a 24-bed Binaba Hospital with a full-time physician, more than 30 staff members, and a small maternity ward.
