Description

Love At Work is a program of Killearn United Methodist church in Tallahassee, FL. We are a summer camp for high school and middle school students that runs out of Gretna, FL. Gretna is the poorest town in the state of Florida and is in dire need of assistance. The students participate in projects such as building wheelchair ramps, re-roofing homes, replacing siding and painting.
We also seek to make the homeowners that we work for more aware of the resources around them so that some of their other needs can be met. For example if the are in need of clothing we refer them to a program nearby that offers clothing for an a very low price ($0.25 for a shirt) or free if the family cannot afford that. Our mission is to encourage spiritual growth in youth through service to others.
