Kenny Guinn Middle School is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is part of the Clark County School District, which is one of the 10 largest school districts in the United States. Guinn has just been designated as a high-achieving growth school according to the No Child Left Behind Act. However, due to budget cuts in the state of Nevada, much of the funding for K-12 education has been reduced or eliminated. Approximately half of our students receive free or reduced lunch, so parents are often unable to purchase sufficient school supplies for their children. Teachers in Clark County are among the lowest paid in the nation, but we still spend a great deal of our earnings on classroom supplies that our students cannot afford.
