Description
A dedicated group of people were convinced over two decades ago of the critical need for an end-of-life care agency in our community – “to provide the highest quality of life possible for patients and their families as they face life-threatening illness; to provide bereavement support to individuals and to promote an understanding of hospice services.” From our grassroots beginning in 1983, the 501(c)3 Medicare and Medicaid certified organization has Kaua`i Hospice has remained true to its mission in serving thousands of patients, family members and loved ones throughout the island and beyond.
Kaua‘i Hospice provides its services to individuals on Kaua‘i who are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness with a prognosis of six months or less. The philosophy of hospice is that the quality of one’s life is not determined by the quantity of time remaining to live.
