Description
Kara provides compassionate support to people of all ages on their journey through grief so they can move forward with renewed hope and meaning.
Since 1976, Kara has provided peer support, without charge, to individuals and families who are grieving the death or impending death of a loved one, or anticipating their own death.
Almost 20 years ago, Kara created a grief support program for children, teens and the adults who care for them. We have since added crisis response for individuals, schools and organizations, an annual grief conference for professional caregivers and Camp Erin - a 2-1/2 day summer camp for children as young as 6 and teens up to 17. Kara also provides education to schools, companies and organizations on how to support the bereaved.
