Description

KAUPA is a nonprofit, community-based organization centered in Kalihi Valley. Our goal is to instill an environmental ethic of caring for the land - “Malama i ka aina” - in Kalihi through environmental education opportunities and activities within the community. We embrace both the traditional Hawaiian way of caring for our ahupua‘a and the scientific process, and advocate balancing today’s modern challenges with the wisdom of the past.
