Description

Petersen, incorporated in November 1996, is a Missouri Not-for-Profit Corporation that assists low- to moderate-income individuals and families to acquire assets. Petersen’s loan counselors prepare and train individuals for home purchase through free one-on-one counseling and homebuyer education seminars. Petersen continues to assist its clients after home purchase by providing counseling services to clients who struggle with payment issues in order to protect their ownership investment. Petersen is a Small Business Administration (SBA) Micro-loan Intermediary lender and provides one-on-one technical assistance to small businesses including business plan preparation, cash flow analysis and loan packaging. Petersen also offers Family Development Accounts, a matched savings account that is paired with financial literacy courses, as a tool for acquiring assets.
